James Muffett, President
James and his wife, Margot have been married since 1979 and have five children: Christopher, Emily (Michael), Jason, Justin, and Joel.
In 1993 he established the Foundation For Traditional Values, a Michigan-based education and research organization, which presents The Greatest Story Never Told American heritage seminars and trains leaders to uphold traditional values in the public arena.
James also serves as President of the Student Statesmanship Institute (www.ssi-online.org) which has become Michigan’s premier Biblical worldview and leadership development program for high school students.
James has spoken to audiences across Michigan and the United States, speaking in churches and schools, and to rallies, conferences, and conventions.
Originally from Salina, Kansas, James received his Bachelor’s Degree from Western Kentucky University.
The work of Citizens for Traditional Values has been documented in The Christian Right in Michigan: Mixed Success by Dr. Jim Penning at the American Political Science Association and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
